I always wonder about this one... wouldn't this be easily tinctured?

I know that Sunrose Aromatics sells the green and black tea absolutes

but I don't know if they sell by the kilo. I have a small sample of

each and they are both quite lovely.

Yes, Helen, I have a green tea tincture but I am not

really thriled with the result. It is very astringent

smelling. I know Z of ZZ's Petals mentioned one and

maybe she knows how to make a nicer one. She knows a

lot about tincturing.

Janita,

Tea absolutes are IFRA restricted but I couldn't find

more specific information. I know that has

mentioned it is a sensitizer so I guess that very

small amounts are okay.

They are restricted according to IFRA:

http://www.ifraorg.org/GuideLines.asp

Apparently this applies to all the kinds of teas (green, black,

white...) as they come from the same species (just processed

differently). That's something I didn't know before...

To get the exact ratios allowed you need to download a PDF file. But

it gives you information about 11 different categories, a different

percentage for each, and you'll need to download the " QRA Technical

Dossier " to get a grip on those... Looks like lots of fun.
