JC,

That has to be so painful :o( My Prayers are with you... Do you have to go into the hospital for a week each time they do the doppler test now??? Yuo would have to be very careful not to get cut now because of the blood thinners, right??? Keep us updated when ya can...

I was put in the hospital for a week when they did the doppler on me for blood clots. I had 2 shots a day in the tummy. The needle didn't hurt but the med burnned for about 20 min. I take a blood thinner now and go in for doppler checks to check up on them. I have several in the main vein that flows up in my left leg. Some days they hurt so bad I can't walk. JC

No, the only time I have to have the shot is when I can't keep my med down. I am being careful of my diet. I am learning the foods that make me sick. I am on a diet of no Vit. K, fat, sugar or salt. The Vit. K helps the blood to clot. I get nipped or scratched all the time when I am working with "exotic" animals. I volunteer at a place close to me. I enjoy this kind of work. The animals don't mean to hurt you it just happens sometimes. I am prepared when I get a place that starts bleeding. Everything is in my pocket in my diabetic kit. JC
