Hey Barb,

As I understand it, that diet is a guideline to be adhered to as closely as

possible. Particularly with the first couple of weeks - one should try to

follow it fairly strictly. But I don't think it is meant to be the gospel that

all need to follow the letter for the rest of eternity.

If you are not one that eggs bothers, then by all means, eat them sometimes.

I would think that eggs are on there because often times those, that have

allergic reactions to vaccines, are actually reacting to the egg whites that

are in many vaccines. Eggs are a common allergen.

Dr. M's diet is very good advice. But as is true with everything in this

issue, that advice has to customized to each individual patient.

I'm brushing up on Dr Marinkovich's info and in his diet he says 'no

eggs'. His diet recommendations in general are to avoid ingesting

mold and mycotoxins in food, and to eat low carb. For sure eggs are

high carb, so the no egg suggestion must be to avoid either mold or

mycotoxins. I can't figure out why eggs would be in that class. I

know they can contain samonella but I don't know of any mold. Does

anyone have a clue as to why moldies should avoid eggs?

If I see him, I'm going to add it to list of question for him.

I need to leave in as many things as possible, list is so small that I

can eat.

the ''no eggs'' recommendation from dr. m is because they are highly allergic

and most people with mold/mycotoxin issues have hyper-immune systems. eating

eggs and having a sensitivity to them will stress the immune system even further

than it is already working to combat the fungal problem.

It sounds like you are maybe wanting some protein?

If you do well with soy, you could try some tofu. It is very soothing, and is

nearly all

protein, no carbs. It is a complete protein, so no need to worry, and it is

easily digested.

We eat it nearly every day. It is easy to put a little in shakes, or to saute on

the stove top

with a little turmuric for color, or soy sauce.

Another vegetable protein that is easy on the system is wheat gluten, or " mock

duck " . That

is another that is nearly all protein, no carbs. My husband loves to cook it in

the oven with

some sauce (he likes it barbeque style, but is branching out with peanut sauce).

If cooked

soft, even a sick person can eat it easily (watch the sauce) or if you bake it

longer, it can

be crunchy (my favorite).

We gave up eggs almost 15 years ago from getting sick all the time eating them.

I can't

think of a reason it would be necessary to a healthy diet. If someone wants to

eat them,

that is just fine, but optional. I grew up eating them daily, and thought no one

could live

without them, and was very irritated at the polluted state of the food supply,

but it turned

out fine. We have been healthier for it.
