Guest guest
I don't know about the others, there are lots of variations. However, this is what I eat for a oh, so yummy Cottage Cheese Treat. 1 Cup Fat-Free Cottage Cheese 1/3 cup oats 1/2 cup of frozen blueberries (fresh or frozen, whatever you want, or any kind of fruit you want for that matter...I like frozen because it feels ice-cream-ish) 10-15 raw almonds 4-6 packets of Splenda I use fat free cottage cheese because the taste of the cottage cheese doesn't come into play...it's more of a vehicle to encompass all the yummy taste and texture. Also, you can adjust the amounts of blueberries and oats for more or less carbs, this is what I start the day with and it is rich, filling, and VERY yummy. I think if you start the day with a good meal, it sets you up for being satisfied and not deprived the rest of the day. Enjoy!!!! > > Can someone fill me in on this?! > > > Jen
Guest guest
I'm not sure what recipe you are referring to but it might be Raylene's Jello. You prepare it as follows: 1 packet Sugar Free Jello - Your favorite flavor 2 cups low- or no-fat cottage cheese 1 serving of vanilla protein powder 1 can or about 2 servings of fresh fruit Blend cottage cheese and protein powder together in the blender. While it blends, boil one cup of water and If your fruit is canned, drain and run under water to rinse off excess sugars. Divide the fruit between 4 containers (I use the glad throwaway containers - they are just the right size). When water boils add it to jello and dissolve. Slowly add the jello to cottage cheese/protein powder mixture and let the blender run for about a minute. Pour the cottage cheese mixture evenly between the 4 containers. Chill for 4 or more hours. Add a dollop of Redi-whip to the top and enjoy (real whipped cream, come on - it's only 20 calories, 2g fat, less than 1 carb). One of my own personal favorite cottage cheese treats is to drain and rinse a small can of mandarin oranges and mix with about 3/4 cup of cottage cheese. It's yummy.
