Guest guest
Hi Janita! I went and checked my blend too. It is definately forming a wonderful spicy, floral scent. I think another month and it will have matured properly. I also cracked open one of the cocoa butters that I had put some of the blend in. The delicate notes are much sharper now. So chocolate-y delicious! iel __________________________________________________

I was just wondering how your Lily Milk blend has aged? It seems that 2 months is about the perfect time to break it out for official use! While the almond is still prevalant in mine, its not overpowering anymore. The clove and patchouli have developed nicely with the geranium, and I'm finally detecting the stronger citrus notes. As a side note, I also made a variation on this formula when I first started this blend. Try using Davana instead of the Geranium. The final product has a peculiar sultry/seductive quality to it, but that may just be me! iel

From reading yours and Janita's comments, I only put in 2 drops of Almond, and it was plenty. That scent is glorious... and very fruity! Wow I opened up the lid and a definate lily aroma came to greet me in one fail round swoosh... The molecules must of built up .......it is all died down now and I pick up patchouli. and as you say the clove and citrus notes...... the almond is barely persceptible............ ..... I have just put some on my skin..........I can't say it is lily like now but I can def smell the citrus.notes..... will need to do a comparative study with the real thing and its notes.....now I can smell the geranium note sitting steadily in the blend. Davana sounds interesting. I had thought at one point I was going to reblend using less almond..... but I don't think it is necessary..... I may now see if it needs any augmenting. I was thinking pink pepper possibly tinctured. But if this geranium slightly soapy note persists it will also need something else. Hi Helenae It will be more fruity with less almond..... but ageing diminises the almond note and adds roundness to the overall blend.... Janita Hey iel just checking back on the notes and noticed this formulae was orig for soap..................and I had picked up on a soapy note and forgot about this..... till just looked at your post notes...maybe this would work better in soap...after all... did the davana produce that soapy note? what do you think?
