Why did Carol have to have surgery???

Carol had emergency surgery on Friday morning. I'm told her scar tissue was deep and much more serious than they had perceived. She will be in the care of a nurse for a while, and I hope I can get updates. Please say a prayer for her, she is very ill and needs any support we can give.

I'm not really sure. I'd ask her, but I think she is in quite a lot of pain, so I want to wait. I don't want her to feel like she has to be typing a lot, especially since her underarms have been bothering her.
