Guest guest
Katrina: First off I want to commend you for coming forward with your personal success!!! Great work girl!! Second, the fact that you even had this epiphany is a fortunate event. What you have experienced is not out of the norm one single bit!!! It actually is more of what happens to most of us. Either we aren't comfortable with the change, or we fear what sort of further commitment it may take to stay this way. At first we stare at the numbers on the tape measure or the reflection in the mirror in disbelief, excitement, and panic of how to keep up the " charade " . If we are aware enough to get it that it really is okay, and our fears are temporary, and basically to get out of the way of ourselves..... we can have the life we only dreamed of before. Good for you on your progress and thanks for sharing this, I so needed to hear this. Weal How to stay motivated... Ok, I know that everyone will probably have a different personal opinion on what I am about to post(!) but I just want to share what my experience on the whole motivation / lack of motivation / self- sabotage issue (that has been discussed on the board over these last few days) has been, and what I have learned abou myself from it. Guest guest
Hey Katrina! It isn't very often that we get an insight into *why* we do things. For someone who has had such success as you have, AND the fact that you are learning so much about yourself leads me to believe that you are well on your way to becoming someone as healthy on the inside as you have become on the outside. Such wonderful self-awareness is a rare thing. Keep digging, keep learning and you'll keep inspiring. Good for you! Take care! -Ruth > > Ok, I know that everyone will probably have a different personal > opinion on what I am about to post(!) but I just want to share what > my experience on the whole motivation / lack of motivation / self- > sabotage issue (that has been discussed on the board over these last > few days) has been, and what I have learned abou myself from it. > >
Guest guest
I read somewhere that the way to avoid that vicious cycle is to begin BFL with your end results in mind. If you can stay focused on that " end result " then nothing less will satisfy. Your pants are loose? It isn't enough. So you say to yourself, " I will exercise intensely and eat so clean that my pants will be falling off. Then when I see how I look then I'll decide if it's good enough. Never being satisfied with the present situation goes a long way toward reaching your goal. Works for me. Everything can always be better.
