Georgia-

Thanks for asking. I just got a fabulous shipment from White Lotus,

but unfortunately the Yuzu was misplaced and is shipped to me

separately and should arrive soon. I will let you all know how it

turns out!

As a side note, though, it's my first time ordering directly from

(ordered before as part of co-op buys, so I didn't deal

with him directly, just enjoyed the goods). He is so pleasant to deal

with and has an excellent customer service. It's so important to have

good and reliable suppliers, but even more so do business with nice

people who really care about what they are doing and selling!

and Suzanna sent me, along with my order, two solid

perfumes of his, Winter Solstice (a coniferous and spicy, but in the

most wonderful possible way rather than another cliche on the topic)

and Chai Masala (very similar to spice tea). I don't know what he used

for the base, but the consistency of the creme parfums was a bit like

a smooth, buttery salve, feeling quite indulging to smooth on the

skin. Woudln't mind a body butter with that consistency either ;)

I am very happy with the essences I received from White Lotus - I am

particularly smitten with the Kewda attar, Jonquille absolute and the

Carnation absolute. I added the carnation to a carnation soliflore I

am working on and it really added that fresh, sweet, slightly green

true carnation to the composition, so I am very pleased!

(It smells awfully different undiluted though, very green and almost

powdery, hard to recognize it as carnation at all)

The patchouli absolute is very interesting as well, a completely

different aspect of patchouli and something I am looking forward to

experimenting with. I am starting to really love patchouli - they can

be so rich and different from each other!

The Indian tuberose absolute is also very lovely. It's a bit gentler

than the one I got last time. It's semi-solid in a waxy way, and has

some green tones. I really like the tuberose from Eden, which is the

creamiest I've ever smelled (from Mexico), but sometimes I like to

have the more heady tuberose with the slightly green tinge to it.

The ylang absolute is quite fantastic too, rich, full bodied and

fruity. A bit similar to the concrete I got from Aftelier, but

different of course (without the butteriness of the concrete). Ylang

is another note worth exploring and comparing different sources and

when you get a good one, it's really good!

(I am not a ylang born fan, by the way).

Happy New Year!

Hi Ayala............I love carnation and with this recommendation I shall get

some more from eden along with tuberose and jonquille..... I use it in a perfume

called 'Jiafusi' which is a play on a chinese city so it has carnation, green

mandarin, jasmine, tuberose, black pepper, sweet orange, vanilla resin,

sandalwood , benzoin resin etc in org alcohol.............

the tuberose sounds good too..... lovely to hear good recommendations..... as

you will appreciate I am very very careful from now on.

happy new year
