Guest guest
Hi, I'm sorry you're going through this too. I had the same problem. You need to have a professional toxic mold test done by a Industrial Hygenist. You can look for air testing companies online. It's possible if the mold spores have been released in your air, and the amounts are high enough, that all of your personal belongings, including furniture can be contaminated. Do you know where the source of the mold is?? Can you see it on the surface of a wall or ceiling? Careful.. NEVER NEVER open the wall or ceiling yourself, where there is mold!! Don't attempt to do this yourself. There are protective measures you need to take, and only a professional remediator would know this. You can release billions of toxic mold spores in the air space of your apartment and damage forever all your personal belongings. You need to find out exactly what types of mold spores are there, and if the mold spores are the type that carry mycotoxins. Only a professional air testing company can do this. Careful, there are allot of fly-by-night companies out there. Take the results of your test and go to your landlord. Hope this helps. jaynago <nago@...> wrote: Dealing with mold is new to me, but my building has mold whcih explains recurrent sinus infections, etc. I am trying to find good non toxic ways of killing the spores in my apartment and would be interested in peoples opinions and experiences. I am leaning toward using vinegar followed by tea tree oil for heavy deep cleans. Afterward I would like to use a GSE w/h2o spray for quick cleans. I actually didn't have live mold in my apartment ( but I know there is live mold in the basement). I did an undersink clean up with living tree for spring cleaning bingo live mold appeared in serious doses so there must be lots of spores quietly sleeping here. So I want to do everything I can to wipe them out and not poison myself in the process. Any tips on my plan would be appreciated. jaynago FAIR USE NOTICE:
Guest guest
-or you can do your own testing if you can see the mold and want to see what kinds you have by useing clear 1 or 2 inch tape and sticking it to mold, get a little of each color, put it in ziplock bag. for around $50.00 a lab can test it for you. many of these mold testing companys will send it for you, should be one in your area. heres a list of molds, click on them for more info. http://www.emlab.com/app/fungi/Fungi.po - - In , Your Friend <yor1friend2@...> wrote: > > Hi, > I'm sorry you're going through this too.
