Guest guest
Is there anyone who is starting the last challenge of the year on the 7th or 8th? I'm starting the 7th so that my free day falls on Saturday but wondered if anyone else out there was. I've started challenges before but always fell off the wagon. Well, here goes again, and in typical procrastinator fashion I'm waiting until the very last day to start. I've reread Body For Life, and I have the Body For Life Journal, and the Eating for Life book this time around. I think both will really help me, along with all the inspiration and support from all you girls!! I think it will take two challenges back to back to get me where I want to be (bikini ready the end of March) and then it will be maintenance from there on out. Mentally I am really ready to do this! I've read and reread the " Crossing the Abyss " chapter and this time it really sunk in. Instead of skimming through the chapter and thinking about it a little before heading to the next, I took Bill's advice and sat down with paper and pencil and wrote everything out. As my younger-than-me husband likes to give a hard time about, I'm coming up on 40 really fast. I have a high school reunion in 2005, and I need the energy to keep up with my almost four year old. Those are a few of my motivations, but the most important one is that I want to get healthy again. I'm going to be in better shape at 40 than I was at 20! I want to be a role model and inspiration to my mother who has struggled with her weight for years. I want to feel healthy and alive again! This time I have a home gym I've put together so there will be no excuse for not getting the workouts in. I'm going to the grocery store today to stock up on good for me food. I'm taking my before pictures on Saturday. So I am gearing up! Wish me luck girls! Christy in Indiana
