Guest guest
Hey everyone I had this on save and I saw Anyas query on it this morning so thought would post up. Yes I have checked .... there are some good website on Farina..... www.farinahaus.de/ I have had a customer for the last few years who always requests my Napoleon Farina which I thought is based on the 4711 ........ Historians will note that 4711 is the number of the street where Farina lived in Cologne where he created 'Kolnishches Wasser' which I believe is the basis for the famous 4711. Napoleon loved it so that he insisted that Empress phine (who was very partial to musk) she wear it in his presence.... this has come from memory so if incorrect , post up I have been very interested in 19th century ('scents ' they called them this) so this comes from that... The 19th century brought all based on the cult of things chinese and japanese and perfumers spent time mingling lavender and cloves and patchouli...... they found spice.... regards Janita below here is my natural perfume recipe/formula for Napoleon's Farina ...... sorry had to look back in my red book for smaller formula/recipe....I am sure there are many variants on this, but my customers like this one.. 120ml organic alcohol based on sugar beet ( or equivalent) 20 Bergamot FCF (Furuno coumerin free) 18 drops orange 20 drops neroli 20 drops petitigrain 16 drops lemon 17 drops lavender 16 drops rosemary best Janita Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.
