Guest guest
I just read this weekend, that in general itchy skin can be caused by liver problems or inflamation. If you have been treated with antifungals or been taking anything hard on your liver. Lots of things affect your liver including too much medicine or too many supplements, even some herbal teas. You might read up on liver inflamation if that continues. Remedy is to examine everything you are taking. If you started something new recently, experiment by withdrawing it, or stop everything you are taking that is 'non essential' and see if itching goes away. If it does go away then add supplements back in you want to take, one at a time. Take each one for awhile before adding another one back in. I got a burning rash from Tylenol even though I was not overdosing it. I stopped the Tylenol and rash started to disappear right away. I read that effective dose of Tylenol is very close to overdose for liver. > > inside my face and in my chest it feels itchy, especially my gums itch like crazy when I go into the worst moldy room, and for days afterwards. I'm taking benadryl, but it's not making it go away. Anyone else have this? > > Just out of curiosity, do regular allergies feel like this? Like to cats? It is driving me nuts. I want to scratch my eyes out and brush my gums til they bleed. Aaaahhh!;( > > Thanks, > Harriet > >
Guest guest
I read that if liver is overwhelmed with 'things to do' (and I know what that is like!), it's stops doing a good job and leaves things in the blood that normally it would filter out, toxins, bile salts, etc, and these things in the blood cause itching. Of course not all itching can be blamed on the liver because there are simpler reasons, 'dry skin', etc However those people who have had chronic illness or been on alot of medicine, taken antifungals, been on a lot of supplements, more likely could be having itching skin due to overloaded liver or toxin liver or drug induced liver problems. > > I too have experienced itchy skin when eating certain foods that are not good for me... usually after breaking down for Taco Bell on rare occasion for example, or eating too much dairy. It clears right up a day or two
