My own entry tests scored 149 on one which equates to about 95 percentile and 99 percentile on the other (the second test was newer so it did not have a Quotient result). The second test was enough to get me into Mensa (the most boring bunch of people you've ever met).Note that in the high end, the margin of error could easily be 15%.

That poor child was tested so much that it just got too much for ME. lol. They took one that took two whole days at the school. They did the verbal and non-verbal even though he can talk. This was back when they assumed that someone with autism automatically had mental retardation. With them all said and done his IQ ranged around 130. That is with the +/- error. Now I don't think it means a hill of beans when it comes down to the end. In fact all they really measure is your ability to figure things out. is a smart kid cause he has always had a curiosity of things and will figure out a lot of things on his own. They sometimes are not what is considered the norm but are a lot more interesting. Now I did Mensa way back in the day. The group reminds me knowing what I know now of a whole room of people with aspergers. I mean come on how much can you go on about one subject without someone wanting to stuff your mouth with an old sock. lol.

-- The porch

and I were sitting on the porch this morning. I didn't get much sleep last night just had a rough night. I was cheerful this morning since it wasn't too cold and was in an excellent mood, pretty good for a 13yo. lol. While we were sitting there this bird came and sat on the porch railing. I don't know much about birds, except for penguins and that is what taught me, but I am guessing it was a Lark. named it Squeek. It sat there about one minute and I told I guess that he just wanted to say hello to us. tells me that they bring messages from angels. I really like that. He has always come up with some great ideas about things but that one is just really sweet.

Hello

It's actually very easy for children to test high on IQ tests, as it is

standardized for their age group, all they have to be is a bit ahead of

their peers. Since they are low on the learning curve, this is very

easy. Simply having an academic focus in the household is enough to

have most kids testing at 180 or higher but when they grow up, they may

not score so high. Hence, for a kid, a high IQ score could mean they

are smart or it could mean they are just ahead for a while.

Newer IQ tests have percentile scores, hence in the upper end, being

twice as smart may only be a few percentage points difference. Also

since the tests are standardized, they are only accurate for the average

people, scoring high can put you all over the map as far as IQ

levels. This is why the criteria for Mensa is only scoring 98

percentile or above on one test, you can take as many tests as you

please, just one high score gets you in. My own entry tests scored 149

on one which equates to about 95 percentile and 99 percentile on the

other (the second test was newer so it did not have a Quotient

result). The second test was enough to get me into Mensa (the most

boring bunch of people you've ever met).

Note that in the high end, the margin of error could easily be 15%.
