Guest guest
About 60 posts yesterday, 10 today. Is there a party somewhere I don't know about? LOL Did you all go out and get drunk and disorderly celebrating my birthday and can't reach the keyboard today? Oh! It's the full moon! Explains everything. BTW, I didn't work on a blend, as stated yesterday, worked on my book! No party here on the East coast although I'm thinking about having one of those sandalwood hydrosol gin martinis they're drinking in CA without us! Sounds like it could warm you up on a freezing cold rainy day like today! Actually, I've been working like a mad scientist on blends using an invention of the great Anya McCoy-- the Latin sugar tincture. Mine has been brewing since I joined this group and it's just so sweet and happy and delightful. However, my first blends with it might be cloying. It's hard to know how much tincture to use! Not sure yet because I'm a little smelled out right now. Have to take a break and let the aromatics marry.... __________________________________________________

Guest guest
(We won't let her in on the secret that a huge gang of us bodacious natural perfumers, after drinking deeply of some Sandalwood hydrosols and gin in celebration of Anya's birthday, went loping crazily through North Beach here in San Francisco pouring unguents on people as we passed...) Andrine's reply: What a great picture THAT conjures up! Oh, to have wonderfully scented folks with gorgeous sandalwood and juniper breath anointing one with unguents! Alfred, am I just really gullible (okay, so I've been accused of such in the past) or can you really mix sandalwood hydrosol with gin and drink it? Well, okay -- of course you could drink it -- you could drink bleach, but I mean can you drink it with no ill effects? (Whoa, dude -- I got like this totally gnarly sandalwood hangover, man...) Gullibly curious, Andrine

I'm going to have to try Angel so I'll know which funk to leave out! Unfortunatey, I'm thinking my first tries at sugary perfumes may be closer to Simpson's Desserts line, the poetically named: Cupcake and Candy perfumes. They smelled so good as I was going along but I'm pretty sure I used too much sugar! Will try again with a lighter hand. At least my kids like them! __________________________________________________
