Guest guest
Lets see, ten years ago was 1996. It seems to me that people are far LESS protected now than they were then. And contracts of any and all kinds have all sorts of exclusions built into them - to imply that you have free choice when you really don't. In general, people are powerless to prevent the stealing of their lives by toxins, they have to just pray that they don't have the bad luck to be one of those people stuck in a bad situation. And if you are, even if the situation is clear, good luck getting a lawyer. I heard recently that the GOP is passing a law that would require that people winning personal injury lawsuits first, before even paying their medical bills or lawyers, REPAY all of the health insurance companies going back to the beginning of their illness, for all the money that they had spent on it. Off the top. This would have the effect of making it impossible for injured people to get lawyers, unless the injury was very serious and also very recent (and they had not had many medical expenses yet) Hows that for Washington's priorities?
