Well I am going to chime in here. I cannot go into alot of detail at this

time, as I don't know how this is going to end up. As most of you know my

kids had a problem earlier in the year at their elementary school. My

daughter had gotten better for a couple of months. Then she started getting

sick again a few months ago. She kept telling me it was mold. But, I just

didn't give it much thought as we had just went thru this and cleaned it up.

However, after being told they did clearance. It came to my attention they

did not. So, last week I turned into a crazed person. I guess the person

in charge just took it upon himself to say they were not going to do it. I

was so MAD. So, I explained again it had to be done. Her 504 states that

she cannot be in an environment with ANY mold, and she is having symptoms

again. (well it took more than that, but that is the short version) So,

they tested last week. Guess what we found? Toxic mold this time. At both

ends of the school. I want to tell you the anger inside me runith over.

So, with help of the remediation company the kids have been pulled from

school and they are sending a tutor to our house this week.

Both kids are once again (this is the 4th time this has happened in 1 1/2

years) miraculously better.

They have asked to have the school re-tested even after the remediation

company and myself tried to explain that the result would most likely be

different. I know they are hoping it will come back no mold and all will be

fine. Then they think they can just go back to normal. But, this time it

will not go quite so nicely for them. I have had enough.

Let me tell you, my district is alot better than most. But, what I have

figured out is. If there is ONE person who has authority, it doesn't matter

what any of the rest of them think. If you get one person who doesn't know

a cotton pickin thing about mold, and says it does nothing, you will be in

for the fight of you life.

I have been active in the school with this mold issue, have worked with

them, helped them, sat in on the remediation meetings, been a part of the

team. But, they always want to miss one important step. EVERYTIME. Then

they want to know why it's there. I feel like saying: Hey stupid, read

your stuff from EPA and OSHA. What the HELL does it say? Did you miss

anything? Oh, yeah you missed like 3 things. Hmmmmm, does that give you a

clue as to why you keep having problems? Fix it right the first time,

follow the steps and be done. GEEZ!!!!!! You can't make a loaf a bread

without the flour can you? Well, I guess you would try it. Good lord.

No wonder kids are so sick. No wonder teachers are so sick. And, these are

the people who are suppose to be watching out over our kids. I wouldn't

give them $2.00 and hour to baby sit mine.
