Guest guest
A co-worker of mine was diagnosed with Myeloma recently. She was in a building that has obvious mold growth for approximately six years. Could this have caused her cancer. She is only 33 years old. Guest guest
Yes, its quite possible, as many (most??) of the hundreds of known mold toxins are known to cause cancer - many diffent kinds of cancer. (They cause all sorts of other diseases too, they don't discriminate.) This happens all over the world and in some areas mycotoxicity in its many forms is known specifically as contributing significantly to the death rate. For example, in parts of China, (and many other areas) aflatoxins and/or ochratoxins in the diet make some forms of cancer a leading cause of death. Inhalation is also a very efficent vehicle for them to enter the body, as well as skin absorbtion.. so don't beleive the people who say that molds are harmless. They are not. We all have personal experiences with that.
