Guest guest
Hi. Nothing like that for me. Mine is the outer part of my ear. Everything but the lobe. It is painful and burns till I switch sides then switch again when that ear is hurting. Nothing with the inner part of the ear. Teri
Guest guest
Hi Dennis, I too sleep with a pillow between the knees. Helps some but I still get the pain sometimes. As far as the ear pain, it is the outer ear, nothing with the inner ear. It is when I am sleeping that the ear that I am sleeping on will start to hurt and burn. Although you are deaf do you still have feeling in the outer part of your ear? Sorry if I sound insensitive, just not something I know the answer to. Guest guest
Hi, I have ear issues also for the past couple years it feels as though they are clogged more so on the left side. This has caused me dizziness almost like vertigo. Especially when I lay down and close my eyes at night. I have been to a ear, nose and throat doctor and that is pretty much what he called it and gave me some exercise to do with my head which did not help. Very frustrating but what is strange is my daughter the one I suspect that has CMT also is always complaining of her ears being clogged and being dizzy. What could this be? Could this be CMT related? Guest guest
Hi Teri, Yes, I have feelings on outer of my ears but I never experience ear pain while sleeping, I might have a lightweight head, LOL, I am nerve deafness that may be cause by CMT. I use a simmons foam mattress and it seems to help with hip pain but they are expensive bed, have you ever try a neck pillow that hooks on around your neck and it might relieve some pressure off your ear while sleeping? Guest guest
This is all very interesting. I started a post about outer ear pain and it has led to a lot of information including the recent posts about inner ear pain and sinus issues. I too have a lot of issues with sinus problems and clogged ears and dizziness. Will be interesting to see what everyone comes up with. Guest guest
Hi, Maybe it's my ear problem that caused my balance problem? Who really knows... Kay
Guest guest
Dennis, I am so sorry that you deal with the ear issues along with everything else!! I like the idea about the neck pillow. Will have to look into that. Thank you for the suggestion! Do you know if the nerve deafness is caused by the CMT or is it a suspicion of your own? Please explain more if you do not mind and what exactly the nerve deafness means. I have lost some of my hearing at childhood but believe it was due to the constant ear infections and bleeding from the ears Would love to get a new mattress, but cost is an issue especially if it turned out not to work for me.
