Speaking of ear wax . . . almost from the outset of getting breast implants, I've had no ear wax at all . . Thanks Rogene,

I will try the peroxide in my ear. I have been taking 1 probiotic

pill a day and the last 2 days I have been eating yogurt as well.

My low grade fever was back last night ....and I think it is from my

ear. Not certain though.

Hugs back to you

Thanks Shari,

I used a prescription ear drop all day yesterday...and the pain is

much better. I think I will try the peroxide to help clean it

out....and then put these drops in as well....

Probably should increase my probioitic to 2 pills a day.

With these implants I have had lots of sinus issues. However, my

mom had them too...and she did not have implants. ...so don't really

know that it is the implants. I am sure however, that these darn

things exacerbated my entire system.

Another treatment my dermatologist recommends is using anti-dandruff shampoo

in the ear to clean it. I'm not at home this week so I can't tell you the

name that he gave me but I can when I return home. My ear itching stopped

as soon as I started doing this once or twice a week. It treats fungal

problems.

, One probiotic pill isn't enough to be effective . . . I don't know what brand you're using, but I'm guessing that you'd do well to up it by one a day until you're taking eight a day . . . and do that for months to come. . . It takes time for the beneficial organisms to colonize and take over the job of fighting off the fungal/yeast organisms. You won't see results right away - like you would with a prescripton anti-fungal. Rogene

, How many kinds organisms does Lacidophil Defense contain? . . . You want to get as many different types as possible. Some of Check www.iherb.com and see what organisms are in Ultra Primal Defense . . . or the old Primal Defense and see how they compare . . I know that Three Lac, claimed that one could overcome yeast problems in thirty days with their product . . which contained three organisms. . . WRONG! Rogene

Hi Ladies! Has anyone tried Ear Candling? It's an awesome, gentle

way to clear out the ear canal, without hurting anything internal. I

had it done when I lived on the West Coast - you can buy them and do

it yourself, once you learn the technique. It's easy. The candles

are hollow wax candles and you place them in a hole in the middle of

a aluminum pie plate (to catch the dripping wax) and place it in your

ear...as you lay on your side. The top is lit and someone oversees

it, ofcourse. It sound like a tiny fireplace burning, very

relaxing. It takes about 20 minutes for each ear. You should have

seen the stuff that was drawn out of my ears!! Alot of white powder,

cuz I was on alot of antibiotics in the first 30 years of my life,

due to a blockage in the end of my left ureter. One fellow at a

Holistic Fair had a bug pulled out of one ear that had been there for

quite awhile, apparently!! YIKES! After surgery, my life changed

drastically. I praise doctors for that one! Anyhoo, look it up on

the net for more info. I'd like to buy some and do mine again -

they're about $8.oo each CDN.

Love ya lots,

Sunny :)

Oh jeez Rogene, I had never looked at it. Now I wish I hadn't as it

is measured in " live organisms " . LOL

Each capsule contains:

Lactobacillus acidophilus Rosell-52 = 3 billion live organisms

Lactobacillus rhamnosus Rosell-11 = 1 billion live organisms

Lactobacillus longum Rosell -175 = 1 billion live organisms

Zinc 2mg

Selenium 12.5 mcg

And I was wrong..it is not by Thorne...it is by XYMOGEN.

The instructions say 1 to 2 pills per day.

Is this enough live organisms?????

Sandy, Your body is full of "live" organisms! . . . Both good and bad. Normally, there is a balance where everything takes care of itself. . BUT, when you take antibiotics, steroids, or your immune system is suppressed from chronic illness, the good organisms get killed off . . . and the bad ones, which are far more hardy, take over. The problems that result are every bit as diverse as those that come from breast implants. These organisms are essential for getting the nutrients from our foods. . . Regardless of what you eat, if this balance isn't present, you're not going to get the nutrients. . . And, the bad foods you eat will feed the bad organisms. . .Sugar and refined grains are the worst offenders. Normally, if everything was in balance, one or two a day would be all you would need. However, when you've have a problem (and all but one implant woman I've spoken to

says she has had a problem), you need much more. There's a limit to how many your body will utiliize, so taking a whole bottle isn't going to help either. Really, read one of Rubin's books . . . as well as "The Yeast Connection" . . . I know it sounds really strange at first . . . but it's God's way to see that our body can take care of itself. Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Xymogen is a great company, it's one that my ND prefers because they test

and guarantee each batch of supplements they make but for probiotics, I

prefer this one, HMF Replete, sold by Rockwell Nutrition.

Each packet contains 20g:

Lactobacillus acidophilus (two strains).......75 billion CFU

Bifidobacterium bifidum.......12.5 billion CFU

Bifidobacterium lactis.......30 billion CFU

Lactobacillus salivarius.......12.5 billion CFU

Fructo-oligo-saccharides (FOS).......10 g (*Read more below)

May contain up to.......170 billion CFU

The base of this product is made of FOS and a minuscule amount of gluose

from vegetable syrup.

All HMF probiotics are gluten and casein free.

Hi Geri,

I had posted about having heel pain when laying in bed and how my feet also

hurt and burn when I bend at the knees and have my feet flat. I then

remembered about my ears too. When I lay on my side I am woke up by my ears

(outer part) hurting and burning. Have had that for many years but just

thought it was me! I have found one other person beside you that has has

this also. Do not know why this happens. May be the pressure thing that

was mentioned with the feet.

What exactly happens with yours and do you have the feet and heel issues

too?

Hello Teri,

For a long time I had a sore right ear. My naturopath couldn't understand

why. Inside my ear, it was red and sore. Then one night I figured it out.

I sleep on my right side, and my ear was being irritated from my bi-pap head

gear. Once I changed to another mask, and head gear...it went away.

This may not be what is going on for you, but I do hope this information

will help someone.

Hi Teri,

I have similar ear pain. I spend a lot of time in bed and just thought it was

pressure related. Since you mentioned the pressure issue for you too, I thought

I'd describe my situation.

I sleep on my side. (Can't sleep on back due to breathing issues.) If I stay

on one side too long, I get outer ear pain like you described. I use a feather

pillow and change sides frequently. I bunch the pillow up around my neck and

head to try to even out the pressure and sometimes I put my hand or fingers

between the pillow and my ear to reduce the pressure. I get a similar pain if I

talk on the phone for more than a few minutes. Have to keep changing sides with

the phone or put it on speaker.

I'm more comfortable sleeping on the right side and my right ear hurts the most,

so I think it's just pressure. Haven't thought much about it until you asked,

just been subconsciously trying to adapt to it. Perhaps someone has a better

solution.

Too funny....seems like we sleep a lot alike! I have done almost all the

same things as you to try to relieve the pain. I get exhausted flipping

over and over to relieve pain. If it's not the feet and heels its the hips

and shoulders! At times I dread going to bed cause I know what I am in

for!!!!

I too cannot sleep on my back, but it is not due to breathing issues. I am

just not comfortable like that. And laying on the stomach is out cause of

back pain. Wouldn't it be great to be able to sleep on a cloud!!

I think I may email my neurologist and pass on all of this and see if he can

make sense of it. He may not be able to help, but sometimes it is just nice

to know the " why " of things happening.

Thanks for replying and your thoughts. If I find anything on the ear pain

or anything to relieve it I will pass it along.

Teri

P.S. Ditto on the phone issues too!!

Hi Kay,

So nice of you to reply. I do not have the same issues but I appreciate the

time you spent writing back. As you said there may be someone out there that it

may help.

Glad that you finally got relief.

I too will have heel pain if my heels are resting on my bed, my feet will hurt

on top because of the foot drop.I was told that we should have a board to push

on so our feet have support (in bed). As for my ears they feel plugged up and

feel like I'm getting a ear ache much of the time.

I get the ear pain at night while sleeping. It is from laying in the

same position too long. I also get heel & hip pain. I just need to move

& it goes away.

I get the hip pain while sleeping on sides too long (can't sleep on

back due to breathing problem), I have solved problem by putting

pillow between my knees as it helps get raid of hip pain, I don't

get ear pain because I am deaf.

I also missed the e-mails, but I have some problems with my ears too. It acts up

some of the time but most of the time not. It doesn't hurt, but it feels like

they are plugged up and I can't pop them. I've been to my doctor and he sent me

to an ear, nose, throat specialist and to have tests done. Nobody seems to be

able to figure it out. I hate to blame everything on my CMT, but I think it may

be related in this case.

Teri,

Do you think that not being comfortable sleeping on your back could be due to

the breathing problems tht many of us with CMT experience? I know that usually

once a year I get a temporary bronchitis where I have to sleep sitting up for

about two weeks! It is very exhausting!

I did have water in my ears but that's gone and I still have trouble...lay down

and watch TV can hardly hear. Have to turn it up...but then when I sit up the TV

is soooo loud.. LOL ..strange..I wonder too if it is CMT as my dad was hard of

hearing and my daughter can't hear very well either...ears are always plugged

up..
