Guest guest
Does anyone know what it means when bloodwork is taken and C4a is very high?
Guest guest
High C4a levels are a sign usually of chronic inflammation. Dr. shoemaker writes about this separately. I had high C4a levels long before and people ignored them. You can find info on this under C4 complements on the internet I think.. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of tcuddy1 Sent: Saturday, April 15, 2006 2:44 PM Subject: [] C4a Does anyone know what it means when bloodwork is taken and C4a is very high? Guest guest
Sue, what was the date of October blood test, early October or late? Was weather moldy time of year, hot and humid? What struck me was January date being low...time of year where there would be low outdoor mold counts. I know here I don't feel well in August/Sept particularly. October this year was still very hot. Here in the mid west though we had a drought but in MD where I think you are I think more humid. Do you keep track of mold counts outside? Perhaps keep a record of outdoor mold counts and how you feel. You may be sensitive now to outdoor mold levels. > > Has anyone had changes in C4a levels? Mine was okay in Jan. at 2174. Guest guest
JUST FOR THE RECORD, (I ONLY KNOW WHAT I WAS TOLD), THE C4A IS NON-SPECIFIC TO MOLD EXPOSURE. I WAS TOLD IT COULD BE A VIRUS, THAT CAUSES THE C4A TO ELEVATE...... V. Re: [] C4a I am interested in this now. Mine was high at 11 thousand something last decenber. I suspect little exposure to none but it is insisted on. The only true exposure I know of whas at the hotel in Pokamoke to see Shoemaker. Two days later it is a little higher than yours I believe. Clearly this is causing more panic and confusion. Please let me know if you find sn snswer to this. ssr3351@... wrote: Has anyone had changes in C4a levels? Mine was okay in Jan. at 2174. Just received my latest blood work done in Oct.which jumped to an extremely high level of 30398!!!!!! All I know about the C4a is that it can jump within 4 hrs. of exposure. Anyone have an info about this? Thanks, Sue ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
Guest guest
I had very high C4a. Don't know the number off hand but I had Epstein Barr virus, so perhaps that figured in. --- In , " " <toriaquilts@...> wrote: > > JUST FOR THE RECORD, (I ONLY KNOW WHAT I WAS TOLD), THE C4A IS NON- SPECIFIC TO MOLD EXPOSURE. Guest guest
Barb , sorry I never got back to you on this. I think my C4a was so high due to a recent hit at a local funeral home. After leaving there (end of Aug.) I was very sick!! I'm sure that's what did it and yes, possibly the weather which was warm and humid. I know it's not my house because nothing has changed here at all. No water, no leaks but did do some recent painting. Who knows all I know it was a great increase from last Jan.!!!!!
