Guest guest
I have noticed a number of ads for niquitin and nicorette advertising their own support services. My guess is that under Neue Labour, more and more companies will be encouraged to 'add value' in this way with dedicated nurses/counsellors/life coaches being made available to this effect. I can certainly see this growing with 'managed care' and the need for more and more taxpayers money to be wasted on delivering an increasingly left-brain/anally retentive NHService. As more and more pharmas merge and the drug molecules all start to be the same shapes anyway, they will have to get more into managed care programmes. I'd also like to see Tesco/Asda etc being a lot more involved in incentivising healthy living behaviours...they are spectacularly more effective at knowing how to manipulate behaviours than most NHS professionals anyway and what is the point in having a load of downstream 'operatives' undoing the damage that they help to create upstream? Is this because there is a lack appropriately trained community nurses available to deliver this service?
