Guest guest
I missed it but if you click on the link below you can listen again. It is worth listening to. Sally as ever is a wonderful advocate for the HV service. I was less impressed by Kate Billingham but she did appear to recognise the skills of health visitors and the downgrading many have suffered in the AfC. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/womanshour/ I have also pasted the write up about it from the website. Best wishes Maggie Fisher The health visiting and community nurse professions are facing their biggest crisis in their long and distinguished histories – that’s according to a new campaign launched by Amicus Health. Official figures reveal that health visitor numbers have fallen to their lowest number since 1994, threatening public health and the delivery of some of the government’s key health initiatives. Why has there been this decline? And what is the government going to do about it? Sheila McClennon is joined by Sally , founder of Netmums.com - a family of local websites set up and run by mums; , Chair of the new Amicus/CPHVA National Professional Committee and Kate Billingham, the Deputy Chief Nurse.
