Guest guest
I had my demo yesterday at work. It went really well. Only four people showed up, many people weren't even aware that I was doing this, or didn't know when I was doing it, but those who did show up were genuinely interested. There were many questions and much discussion, and I think in general, they were pretty fascinated. It was funny, there were three guys and one woman. She is a gung-ho, natural person and she was pretty floored. She told me, " I totally support it, but I never knew it existed! " . She was pretty excited about the whole prospect of natural perfumery. After I did an explantation of what basically natural perfumery was, what the basic materials are(essential oils, absolutes, waxes & concretes, hydrosols, etc.), what the types of perfumes are,and what the basic structure of a perfume is, and what notes are, I passed around labeled scent strips of juniper berry, orange, bergamot, cardamom, and spruce, to represent top notes, as I was discussing the concept. I then passed around rose, pink lotus, cacao, and jasmine grandiflorum and jasmine sambac, showing them the difference between the two species in scent(the sambac seemed to be the overall favorite), as I discussed heart notes. Then I passed around the base notes; sandalwood, oakmoss, labdanum, vetiver, and benzoin. The men seemed to like these very much, the woman, not so much. Ialso passed around ambrette, and someone said that it smelled like playdoh! I somehow forgot to mention that it smells like musk on the skin, not the paper. OOPS! I also passed around samples of Anyas perfumes, to show them what a finished, blended perfume would smell like. Everyone was pretty fascinated by them, and were discussing them very much. Each person was trying to guess the notes( I did later read off the ingredients from the list that Anya provided with her samples). All in all, it went really well, and I was very happy with how it turned out. I thought; " Hmmm, I could do this more often... " --------------------------------- We have the perfect Group for you.
