I have only been doing those particular exercises for about a week or

so....the times before that I was doing the kickbacks, dumbbell

extensions and the ever so painful (at least for me) bench dips.

Ditto on the pain bit... however, I love to do dips -- use the

assisted dip machine if your gym has one and you need it. If not,

start by just doing a controlled lowering. Keep doing that until

you've built enough strength to push yourself back up.

I always get a good burn.

Margo - I'm right there with you, sister! No matter how hard I work

my triceps, I still have severely large " matronly " upper arms. In my

photos, you can't tell because my arms are down. When I hold my arms

out, they flap in the breeze...I kid you not! Anyhoo..regarding

extra exercises for triceps, no matter how hard you work them, the

key is lowering your bodyfat...If you're like me, and that's the last

place you lose, you may need to get down to under 20% bodyfat to see

significant changes. For me, this is the lowest weight I've been at

in my ENTIRE adult life (I'm 148 lbs now) so I have NO IDEA what BF %

or weight I'll need to be in order to have chiseled, MADONNA arms (or

what's-her-face from Terminator 2 arms.) But I'm not stopping until

I get there! Obviously, continue to work the triceps, but like

Seattlelady put it, " keep in mind that the number-one thing that's

going to help your arms is fat loss. Annoying, but true. " Definitely

annoying!!!! Hope that helps. Stick with it and you'll reap great

rewards!!!!
