Guest guest
I am new here. I have CFS, and only I first heard about the mold connection through , who I see posts here too. I am so lucky to have learned that I need to avoid mold (in some situations)! For a long time, I assumed that mold did not affect me personally: In Cuba, where my health is very good, I have lived in rooms with mold without problem. However, I was in north eastern Brazil recently and was fortunate to finally comprehend more about how mold can cause my CFS symptoms to return. I should explain that north eastern Brazil is another location where I went and my CFS seemed to not be a big problem at all. Then I started having bad days and saw that I had been well when staying in hotel rooms without air conditioning. Later, I constantly had bad days even though I avoided a/c. The bad days coincided with the " wet " season (there is a light amount of rain after several months without any rain at all). That is when I decided to stay in a hotel room which I hoped would not be near mold. I stayed on the 8th floor of a hotel, which had constant ocean breezes. I was only able to stay there 2 days, but I am almost positive that being in that room was why I was well for those 2 days! (I went down to the ground for several hours per day, but did not feel too badly. It seemed I was more energetic when I returned to my room, though). Sorry to say, I was not well in Toronto no matter how high up I lived. Thanks to all of you who are sharing info to help others! -.
