Value of home testing?

Hello,

I'm not a regular on this group,

but I have been reading the digest

more and more over the last year, or

so.

I was wondering what the consensus

here was on getting your home tested

for mold/mycotoxins?

I suspect we have mold in our house,

but how do I know for sure?

Is there anyone in the East Tennessee

area who is reputable, and could properly

access a residence?

What is the incidence of false positives

in testing, or false negatives?

How does one know if they are being taken

for a ride by someone who i$ remediation happy?

Should I think of approaching from

a different angle, i.e. testing myself,

blood tests, etc. to see if I'm reacting

to mold (and if I am then, my house must

have mold, as I'm basically homebound)?

Can one achieve this level of specificity

in testing? (I would not view the C-reactive

protein as being sufficiently specific,

for example).

I have not read " Mold Warriors " (yet),

would reading this book give me a deeper

insight?

Sorry for all the questions.

Zippy
