Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm new here, and all excited to join and learn! I've been working as an aromatherapist for 7 years now, but I never intended to make perfumes. I mostly make my synergies for medicinal or energetic purposes. Up until now that is :-). After finding out what is in most deodorants and perfumes, I decided to try and make them myself. I already made a deodorant for my husband, which smells great, but he has to shake very well every time he wants to use it, because the essential oils float on top. I've used 10 ml vodka 37.5 % with 20 ml hydrosol, and 60 drops of essential oil (a lot of 'heavy oils' like woods, resins) and 6 drops of GSE. Is this too small an alcohol content to keep the EO's dispersed? Or is the alcohol percentage (only 37.5 % alcohol in this vodka) too small? But I didn't want to use too much alcohol because that's not so great for the skin. Is it too much EO (60 drops in 30 ml, makes 10 %)? Any comments and suggestions would be highly appreciated :-) Love, Saskia In Belgium, Europe
