Guest guest
Nari, have you suggested eliminating toilet paper and prescribed washing with a soft cotton cloth instead? One of the older ND's here in Ptld suggested this years ago and I've found that to be helpful in some cases. I've found Shea butter helpful for symptomatic relief/breaking the itch cycle when the cause was removed. Thorne used to make Shea Butter, but it wasn't available the last time I tried to order it, maybe someone knows an alternate source. Guest guest
Itchy rectum if a result of hemorrhoids can be a real bummer. No pun intended. I have used witch hazel or lemon juice (slightly diluted), applied directly to the itch. You can use a Q-Tip for the application. Also, after application, rectal exercises ( pulling in the rectal muscles a few times), also brings relief. I know because I have also utilized this approach on myself with success. Heidi Mayer B.Sc. Guest guest
Anal itching is has always been a sign to R/O candida. Which means diet changes and a look at the body immunity. Also are you sure she is not trying to scratch her labia? If this is sexual excitement then think of Platina as a remedy. Is the anus red and irritated?
