If anyone is coming from the south and would like to take the back waythrough Tenino and Yelm - let me know and I can give you those directionsseparately. If you know anyone else who is coming and you can car pool that would be good. We do have 5 acres but only a couple acres is cleared so parking might be tricky. I would love to get an estimate on how many are planning to attend - so, please send me a message at supergramemr@... let me know how many in your family are coming. I would like to use the microphone from the band and have each banster introduce themselves and their family members, tell when surgery was and how much weight lost. Thought it might be fun to bring before clothes and wear them over now clothes. As long as there isn't a burn ban on, we have a fire pit and can have a fire going to roast marshmallows (make S'mores) if we want to. If anyone has a volley ball/Badmiton set and wants to bring it, we can set that up too. God only knows what I am forgetting. If something pops into your head, let me know. Am looking forward to seeing many of you. Another reminder will come as the date gets closer. Guest guest
I'm doing some research on my own and I'm going to let you all know what I find. Because funding for Samters needs to happen if the prevalence is really as large as people say it is. (Well, it needs to happen anyway, but .... just trying to figure out where Dr. son is coming from) ... <<As I mentioned, there is an association of nasal polyps with aspirin intolerance and asthma. These three factors together are know as Samter's syndrome or the aspirin triad. The prevalence is estimated to be 2%-3% in asthmatic patients in general and 20% of severe asthmatics. >> From http://www.bcm.tmc.edu/oto/grand/090398.html << Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disease of the airways that affects 14 to 15 million people in the United States, making it the most common respiratory disease in this country >> From http://www.acponline.org/vas2001/sessions/allergy.htm Using these two statistics, admittedly from two different sources, and using the top numbers, three percent of 15 million equals 450,000 in the United States. That's a lot less than 2.5 million. Maybe not enough to qualify us for the NORD database still. But I'm going to find that out. I think part of the problem is this disorder has so many different names. ASA triad, aspirin triad, Samter's, and now this new " AERD " (which I think is a terrible name, by the way). I think Samter's syndrome is the best name because, well, it's a NAME. Any thoughts? Lori

Also the element may heat it more than the stove would. And on the stove you shake the kettle from time to time. I just have never had good luck with the pop corn makers compared with my heavy kettle. BTW I live in West Bend where your stir crazy is made. They used to have a nice outlet store here that they closed this year. The Stir Crazy makes great popcorn with every other oil I've tried in it, and I've tried several; corn, peanut, canola, olive. I haven't tried almond oil yet. :-) > BTW I live in West Bend where your stir crazy is made. They used to have a > nice outlet store here that they closed this year. Guest guest
Hey Group: I was able to make the trip to visit my son at Dover AFB, my daughter Aimee' went with me and did all the highway driving. The trip I couldn't have made after my diagnosis and the 2 - 5 month mortality rate given by the doctors. As I always say " Man points. . . God appoints " , and my personal quote " I AIN'T FINISHED YET " !!! Yes, Amy, each time I was taken off the gold for my counts to recover, my side effects came back 100-fold, but this too will subside. While in Dover my son reminded me of a prayer I have had since 1972, and I am passing it on to all of you; and as always. . . you are all in my prayers. PRAYER FOR HEALTH & HAPPINESS Dear Father in heaven, to whom All men lift their faces, make me quiet in this time of prayer that Thy loving heart may bring to me all health and all healing. For I have been so worried about my health, dear Father. Sometimes it just seems that sickness and worry, weariness and pain drain the very strength from my bones. I know Thou hast pity, loving Father, for Thou didst watch even Thine only son suffer and cry. So please help me, Thy child, in my weakness and pain. Truly I thank Thee for Thy servant, the doctors and their medicines. Father, and may they feel they are worthy disciples of the Great Physician. Please guide them so they also can do their part in bringing back health to me. I want to be well not only for myself, dear Lord, but for my dear ones who need me and for Thee that I may once again go about Thy business. So please, Father of health, give me, this, Thy blessing. And now Father, as I close my prayer, truly I feel the warmth that is the strength of Thy spirit working within my soul and body. Truly I feel so much stronger and full of hope and I do thank Thee, my Father. I do have faith in Thee and I do look forward to thy help - and even the thought of it gives me hope and peace. Amen " K " " I AIN'T FINISHED YET " !!!
