Guest guest
I did perspire a lot last summer but had no problems with body odour; i expect this was due to my bilirubin being in the normal range, or was it due to drinking lots of water?. However the light headedness, fatigue and foggy brain syndrome were a problem on a very hot day. Guest guest
le, I wrote before with this ??? and it may have been answered...but here it goes..when doing the frog leap type exercise, I feel no pull..I assume I am not doing it correctly..How do I make the burn? do I lower self as much as I can? Thanks. Also, I have trouble witht he pretzel. An alternate I do is..lay flat on floor on back. Bend one knee with foot flat on the floor. Then put the other knee up on it..modified pretzel..that is for sure. Then I pull on the one bend with the foot on the floor...Not sure I am explaining this position too well. You will feel the burn or tugging on the one that is laying on the stable one. Does anyone know what I am talking about. ?? When I was doig bf, it was suggested on the board as an alternate. The " real " pretzel seemed to throw out my hip!!! Hope this helps those who are having trouble with the pretzel. I never could do it right...just can't seem to get the knee in the right position to get the elbow wrapped around it. This eliminates that problem. Ellen For now, I have been doing the into tape...I still do not get the gasping dsound. One more ? for le or anyone...when doing the roll up to create the vacumm, do we do the pelvic tilt first then roll up. I amy not be tilting enough. It looks like that is what le is doing in the tape... Thanks, Ellen Hi Karma, Glad you found a plan that works..I know for a while you were trying Atkins and 5 day. Guess having a plan that works for you is the key...much easier to follow. I am doig a modified sugar busters.. I like the CAD but find that I need an orange in the afternoon for my blood sugar. I was falling asleep at the wheel Mon while coming home..I was trying just protein and veggies for lunch and snacks...I counted 5 times that my eyes must have closed as I foud myself going toward the guard rail and other lanes!! It is scarey. I still don't know how to eat to not have this happen. Do you think I just need more protein or do you think I am better off with the orange in the mid afternoon??? Maybe I do not eat enough protein??? I ate 2 eggs and salad for lunch. Then 2 hrs later, celery with cream cheese. Then 2 hrs later, a soy/protein drink and I still had the problem. HELP!!! Guest guest
Hi Ellen, I thought I did answer this, but since I get sooo much mail to answer everyday, I would not be surprised it I missed something. One thing to remember in doing Life Lift is that you do not have to feel the "burn" or "pull" that you do with traditional exercise to get results. The idea is to just stretch or flex a muscle to draw the oxygen to the point of stress. It is ok if you do feel the "burn", but it is not necessary. I rarely feel that anymore with any exercise, yet my muscles remain as firm as they have ever been. Usually the burning you feel is caused when you are building up lactic acid and that is not something that you need to get results. In doing the frog you want to push your knees out as far to the sides as possible and then you point your toes in toward each other. The pretzel on the floor is a position I use in both workout one and workout two. I find it much easier for most than the traditional pretzel. I love it, personally. Take care, and let me know if this helps. If you need more you can email me directly and I will be happy to help you. I believe you had discussed this at one time but I can't remember what your response was. You say that we just need to stretch or flex a muscle to draw the oxygen to the point of stress. What is the difference between let's say, for example, when doing leg lifts you lift the leg once and hold it while you do each breath vs. lifting the leg 8 to 10 times while holding each breath? The reason why I am asking this question is because I incorporate other exercises into the Life Lift breathing method to give my workout a variety. Some of the moves call for repetition of a movement, and I was wondering if that is necessary to get the most out of the exercise. Thanks, Abby Rashelle wrote: >Hi Ellen, >I thought I did answer this, but since I get sooo much mail to answer >everyday, I would not be surprised it I missed something. >One thing to remember in doing Life Lift is that you do not have to feel >the " burn " or " pull " that you do with traditional exercise to get results. >The idea is to just stretch or flex a muscle to draw the oxygen to the >point of stress......... ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
Guest guest
i was under the impression, that an mri or ultra sound should be done first, before biobsy, to pinpoint any " bad " areas. otherwise you could miss a problem area? is that right or am i full of bad info? Guest guest
Well the thinking is that what happens to one part of the liver also happens to the other, within a certain percentage of variation. No MRI or scan or anything. He does those if he thinks there is an indication of liver cancer or something like that. However my hep is very mild as far as my liver is concerned, yet the symptoms are not so mild. <sigh> Just my luck! but I feel better knowing than not knowing. I'm sure there are advantages to having an mri or ultra sound and if I asked for it he'd prolly do it, but I don't see the need in my case. alley/ ICQ 12631861 alleypat@... http://www.flash.net/~alleypat

My surgeon was suggesting finding someone who could do it thorastically, but I was unsure about it. I'll definitely tell my Mom that we need to find someone who can do it laproscopically! Guest guest
HI EVERYBODY! I AM NOT VERY GOOD ON THIS COMPUTER BUT I REALLY WANTED TO SHARE MY FRUSTRATION AND SADNESS WITH PEOPLE WHO PROBABLY SHARED SIMILAR EVENTS. MY SON MATTHEW IS NOW 3 1/2 AND HAS APRAXIA. IT MAKES ME VERY SAD HOW LITTLE PEOPLE KNOW AND HOW VERY RUDE PEOPLE CAN BE. MATTHEW FOR THE MOST PART DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHEN OTHER KIDS MAKE FUN OF HIM. THE OLDER HE GETS THE MORE KIDS DEMAND HE SPEAKS, AND WHEN I SAY TO A 4 YEAR OLD THAT HE IS LEARNING AND DOING GREAT, MAYBE YOU CAN HELP HIM WITH HIS WORDS, THE REPLY IS USUALLY ALONG THE LINES OF I DON'T LIKE HIM AND I WONT PLAY WITH HIM. THE PARENTS OF THESE CHILDREN FRUSTRATE ME THE MOST, THEY SAY N-O-T-H-I--N-G-. MAYBE BECAUSE APRAXIA HAS NEVER BEEN HEARD OF. IT GETS ME VERY ANGRY AND I FEAR THE DAY THAT MATTHEW WILL UNDERSTAND HOW RUDE PEOPLE CAN BE. I DON'T KNOW WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR BY SHARING THIS EXCEPT MAYBE I AM NOT ALONE IN WHAT I GO THROUGH. I KNOW THIS SHOULD NOT NE AN ISSUE, MATTHEW HAS COME SO FAR AND I AM SO VERY PROUD OF HIM BUT IT REALLY HURTS. THANKS
Guest guest
My son is 3.7 years old and we face the same things all the time and it drives me crazy. My son ends up playibg a monster and chasing everyone and the kids all think it is funny and play along. This makes me mad. I want my son to be included to not always the monster chasing. He does not realize that he is really being left out. I have now told him if we go somewhere to play and he starts the monster we will leave and a couple of times we have had to leave. This is his way of playing with out having to talk. It is slowly getting better. But when he does not act the monster he gets left out completely. One day though we went to Mcs that had a wonderful indoor playland and three little boys that were all friends came in. tried to play with them and they ran off and would not let him play he started after them and so and so. Well then one of the boys moms came over to and asked him if they were being nice and he shook his head no. She then asked if he wanted to play with them he shook his head yes. So she called all three boys down to her and said " this is (she had asked me his name) and he would like to play with you guys today so you need to play with him. " and then she introduced each one to . He played for an hour with them with no problem. He had the time of his life. It was great I was so happy. Less than five minutes of this moms time made the day for my son. If only all moms could be so considerate. Sorry it got so long.
