My mother is using grape juice and sure jell for her arthritis.

She says it works and I have seen that she is now able to open her

hands up now. She could not open them before, she is 89.

I was having a bit of muscle pain from starting on a new exercise

program...I tried her grape juice and sure jell and the grape juice

made me ill...grape juice is not too good for my mold sensitivity.

Since you posted this, I am wondering if it is something that both

juices have in them that controls the pain??

If I am correct, it has apple pectin in it..it is used to make jelly.

One can purchase it in the canning section in the grocery store.

Jackie, What do you use apple pectin and pom juice for? One makes a

jelly and then you flavor jelly with pom juice? ..or make a gel to

put on arthritic joint? I must have missed a post.

I was responding to a link that someone posted about pom juice helping

arthritis. I was thinking about my 89 year old mother's excitement

over how her hands can move now that she is using a table spoon of

sure-gel ( an ingredent used for making jelly) to a cup of grape juice

and drinks it...I was thinking out loud that it is possible both

juices may have the same ingredent that helps with the pain and

stiffness.

i think there's MUCH to be said for natural " remedies. " i don't know much

about pom juice, etc., but i DO know my dad uses black cherry juice for his

gouty arthritis.... & it works WELL.
