Guest guest
There's a good book called Medicine Hands, Massage Therapy for People with Cancer, by Gayle Mac, MS., LMT which covers a variety of topics related to body work and cancer. I'd certainly consider lymphatic massage. J. Benton, NDBattle Ground, WA. 98604Family Practice
Guest guest
In response to 's message- I took the lymphatic massage class last year with Gayle Mac and was given the opportunity to massage clients who had undergone chemo, radiation, etc. Depending on how much time has gone by since the surgery (she generally recommends at least 2 months), lymphatic massage done with careful attention to pressure (should be extremely light) and direction of lymph flow, can be very effective (and wonderful for the patient, too!) The book is helpful, but if you have any specific questions I would contact Gayle or I would be more than happy to try and help. much love and wishes for happy holidays~ a a Waters, ND New York
