Guest guest
Pretty wild. I noticed on one pic they actually removed some definition on the side of her ab. _________________ " Whatever women must do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Guest guest
You never know who is real and who has been photoshopped. Lines and shadows can be added to anyone to put in muscle definition that doesn't even exist. Definitely makes me wonder about the 's Secret models. Guest guest
That's a great link. I send people there all the time when they come to me in tears because they can't get their legs to look like some model's. I'm like, HELLO, even models don't look as flawless as their magazine pictures. It's trickery! They have cellulite and spider veins right along with the rest of us. Here's one where super model Tyra Banks talks about her cellulite and stretch marks. http://www.cnn.com/books/dialogue/9804/tyra.banks/ The digital blond model is eye-opening too: http://homepage.mac.com/gapodaca/digital/blonde/index.html It's great to want to be the best *you* possible, but if you want to be somebody else you're hosed. Chances are even they don't look like their pictures, not all the time anyway. Consider the 10-12 pound difference between fitness models real weight and contest weight. They don't walk around looking like their magazine photos year round. They diet their brains out, carb deplete, apply layer after layer of ProTan, enter their contests, and do their photo shoots while they're still dieted down. The magazines digitally re-touch any flaws in the pictures and then the fitness women return to their lives as mere mortals until it's time to do it all again. Now, they're extremely fit mere mortals, they're just not as perfect as the magazines would lead you to believe. :-) Why real women lose self esteem. Guest guest
And if TYRA BANKS has cellulite, come on - it is NORMAL!! There was also that magazine layout with Lee Curtis - my favorite actress - where people were " stunned " because she let them photograph her actual body and face, and allowed no airbrushing. She did it to show normal women that without all the help, everyone has flaws. And she looked good, just not perfect. That was very helpful for me, becasue you get so bombarded with images of perfect, young hard bodies all the time with Barbie proportions that you start to feel worse! Gotta love media honesty.
