Guest guest
I found that most of the abstracts are focused (still) on the old methods of surgery and steroids, and putting it into the context of the term " allergic fungal sinusitis " . These doctors are ignoring the very valuable role of antifungals in combating fungal diseases. And seem to be completely ignoring the standard of removing the offending substance. I looked at only 3 pages of 16 that were returned on the search for the term " allergic fungal sinusitis " , so it is not an exhaustive review, just went back a couple of years. It will be interesting when some doctors get the idea of combining the anti-toxin therapy and the antifungal therapy, and see if they can get some positive results for those that one or the other treatment alone does not substantially help. Guest guest
kl and others, I assume below comment is in regards to CSM and antifungal medicine. If so, makes me wonder if anyone here has experience with taking antifungals, along with CSM (?), and was person able to avoid problem of liver toxicity by doing the CSM at the same time?? Guest guest
Hi, Barb, I have heard of some people, but don't know how it worked out. I am taking low dose diflucan, and have not had any problems with my liver, been taking it for a year and a half now. I have not tried the CSM yet, though. I have heard of people that have taken the CSM and have not had the best results, so it leaves open a question of an in body source for the toxins, it seems to me, anyway. It seems like it might be worth a try for people that fit the diagnostic criteria for the AFSinusitis, or digestive candidiasis. Anyone tried it? > > > > It will be interesting when some doctors get the idea of combining > the anti-toxin therapy > > and the antifungal therapy, and see if they can get some positive > results for those that one > > or the other treatment alone does not substantially help. > > >
