Guest guest
Dr. Medlin: re: "Your plan please" My plan is to review the benefits available from the 43 currently authorized Oregon insurance companies and pick one policy that most closely meets my needs at a cost I can afford. Then buy it. It's hard to estimate what additional variety of choices might be available were out-of-state companies sanctioned to do business under Oregon laws, now precluded by state and federal fiat. More competition could hardly worsen my consumer plight, as that's what this country was built upon. And since they all have to respond to both regulatory laws and economic realities, I'd like to have more choices as likely there's a better deal out there for MY needs. re: " Your idea?" My idea is to let you make your own choice. Do you need help doing such? There is a wide variety of options not required for the bulk of those choosing to purchase insurance, yet again our law makers insist on including such. Pretending such coverage as transgender reassignment surgery is high on the list of what policies should include, means those benefit costs are indeed spread to those policy holders not seeking such coverage. Do you really believe the taxpayers should be liable for such social policy? Mandating a wide variety of lesser utilized benefits upon the general population and hiding those additional costs for all taxpayers under the guise our society is on the verge of collapse because we don't have such legislation, suggests a lack rational coherence by those who continue to believe that a federal program designed to stop massive cost overruns by another federal program designed to stop massive cost overruns will do such, in the face of all evidence and historical antecedent to the contrary. Do you have one example any such program has every worked? So now it your turn Dr. Medlin. What's YOUR plan and what's YOUR idea? J.
