Guest guest
Has anyone noticed that even the people who are losing 70-80lbs have tight skin? There are so many other " diets " that leave people who have lost that much with hanging, flabby skin that needs surgical removal. Any thoughts? Guest guest
Losing too fast is what causes the flabby bodies and sagging skin. 1-2 pounds a week in the beginning is max, 1 pound a week later on is expected. Any more than that and you're probably losing muscle too. Stasia
Guest guest
rapid weight loss causes saggy skin, a loss of 1-2 pounds a week allows the skin time to adjust. Slow and steady.

I lost 120 pounds over 2 years on Weight Watchers, and have maintained the loss for about 15 months. I'm on Challenge 2, week 9, and have great muscles showing through on the top surfaces of my arms and shoulders, and skin hanging from the insides of my arms, upper thighs, and lower abdomen. I have thin skin, and it was stretched out for 30 years. Now, at 40, even with this, people think I look like I'm in my early 30's. The reality is that I notice my loose skin more than anyone else, and I have 3 options: 1. Gain the weight back (the answer is NO!) 2. Have surgery (online photos I've seen look really scary) 3. Be thrilled with what I've accomplished. That's what I'm doing. Most people don't have the problem with skin that I do. I say, go for it anyway. Being fit and muscular feels awesome!
