Hi and this sounds like an elimination issue. Try Ferrum Phos 6x cell salts at 4 tabs tid. With someone like this, less is more until her body can begin to eliminate. Regards, White N.D., Ct

Hello,

I am puzzled by this case:

53 yo female who came in 2 years ago with dx of osteoporosis with fracture, history of partial hysterectomy due to increased bleeding in 30', relatively mild menopausal symptoms. Besides increasing bonestrength and density, her main complaint was difficulty dealing with not enough sleep and high stress due to UPS work demands. She is doing really well now with all issues, considering the environmental situation itself has not changed and will not change until next year.

The problem is that I have not been able to use any potentized remedies (couldn't take chelidonium plex or undas), as she reacts even in low dosages; herbal products are easier tolerable, but still require individual, slow intro; she just had another severe episode where she was close to going to the emergency room when she reintroduced isocort (was ok previously) and centella with 1 drop. Symptoms are a strong feeling of dehydration, flight and fight adrenalin rush feeling gradually coming on during the day, then waking in the middle of the night with ringing in the ears, leg cramps leading to jaw clenching and tight neck and a general feeling of the whole system wanting to shut down; she needs to keep to pacing to prevent her system from stopping breathing; eventually disappears with extra magneleuvers in saline solution and Vit C; she always hydrates very well. she can't associate attacks with anything else, i.e. no particular stressors or anxiety or exposures;

I have been focusing on adrenals, liver, gallbladder and kidney support with BTG (very compliant - magneleuvres, liqui B, vit C with bioflav, and codliver oil, plus regular BTG's), gemmos (Betula pub, Ribes, quercus and sequoia in sequence) and herbal tinctures ((taraxicum rt, glycerrhiza, vitex cimicifuga, withania, hydrastis - after many experimentations); everything is very slooooooow! Had to remove glycerrhiza as her bloodpressure is recently increasing from usually low normal values. haven't tried tissuesalts or gammadyns as i don't have that much experience with them;

Her last hormonal profile was surprising to me as her

* cortisol values were almost flat (2.5 am, o.4 eve), despite her feeling quite good, having a stable stress response and good mental attitude. * previous cortisol values were high in am (8.5) and ok in eve (1.1) a year and ahalf ago

* testosterone came up from 10 (very low) originally to 4.7 (normal) - she is on DHEA 2.5 mg.

* DHEA came up from 3.4 (nl) to 4.7 (nl)

* Estradiol is low, (she is on 0.8mg estriol)

* Progesterone normal with supplementation (15 mg)

interestingly she never reacted to any of the natural hormones except for the recent isocort trial

* bonedensity values are improving and bone resorption is normal (she is on Vitamin D and "bonemax" a MCHA mineral formula)

The only explanation for her flat cortisol curve would be the consistant lack of sleep - she does so much better whenever she can get more - and exposure to lots of chemicals at work as a UPS driver (gas, Aluminum, graphites, different sprays);

I am looking for more suggestions to increase toxin elimination and adrenal reserves as well as insight into her hypersensitivity reaction and ways to decrease that without using Undas or other homeopathics ; she is not willing to try anymore even at low drop dosages. I did put her on isocort at least temporarily; any suggestions for tissuesalts or gammadynes? how about something anthroposophical, Bob?

I am also wondering about causes of early heavy bleeding which I just remembered as I am reading her chart again; I will explore her early life a little more.

The other thought is Aluminum toxicity as I am reading all this again; haven't had a chance to explore that; does anyone know if these symptoms could be a result of aluminum exposure?

Dear

elimination is where I focused on first until I saw the flat cortisol readings,

which were puzzling to me as she is not experiencing severe fatigue and is

handling stress well. This made me wonder if it might be more important to

support adrenals to withstand any stressor right now rather than focus more on

elimination, which we have for quite a while now.

Haven't tried Ferrum phos though; I have used this more for inflammation issues;

why would you chose that here?

Hi and when in doubt, always look to aid the body in elimination as I think it is always the body's inability to eliminate that causes problems. Ferrum Phos 6x cell salts are a wonderful kidney.liver drainer without the push. I would do both, support the adrenals and assist in elimination, a nice package.
