You might try:

-Mind-Moon-full moon agg.

-Mind-restlessness-moon-full moon; during

-Sleep-disturbed-moon; full

-Sleep-sleeplessness-moon full

-Sleep-waking-night-midnight-after-2h-moon; at full

-Gen-moon-full moon-agg.

Most are pretty small rubrics, but maybe will be helpful.

Hey -

I have noticed that my newborn and other new babies I know had trouble

slleeping with the full moon. It made me think that since new babies are

developing their pineal glands, that the full moon aggravation has to do

with the pineal gland - perhaps the extra light affects melatonin secretion.

I might use Epiphysinum, or TPIN or Hypericum for that aspect. Let us

know what remedies you find. Also there is a full moon reflection

environmental essence (from Alaskan flower essences).

Take care,

Allie ND

Almost every patient I have, that lives on a rural property, has trouble

sleeping before the full moon. I have always assumed it is just the brighter

light at night, and considered it " normal " . Have other people practicing far

from city lights found the same thing?

Yes, and wonder also if it may be better

attunement to natural rhythms, eg. I find that more women where I live seem to

be on moon cycle with their cylces.

Given the rhythm thing, now sure if

intervention is a good thing, but literally making sure the room is very dark

and the house without inner sources of light can make a difference by

stimulating melatonin secretion. (suppose you could supplement melatonin too?)

The moonlight actually suppresses melatonin (and thereby encouraging

ovulation).

Dear ,

Sorry to be so late to respond but I did want to add my two cents. Someone on the Unda list told me about the full moon remedy from Alaskan Essences. I ordered it and it worked like a charm for a patient of mine. I know it's only one case but it was pretty remarkable. They are available for orders at 800-545-9309. good luck! Sobyl Bunis, D.C.

Q: Sleepless before the full moon

HI everyone-

I have a 46 yo female patient who has insomnia only for the few days to week before the full moon. She wakes up around midnight and will be awake until 4 am. I looked in my repetory under sleep and the generals, but could only find "Moonlight aggravates" under the generals. Any other ideas where to look?
