Diane,

I can't help it...I think I'm compulsively anal about numbers,

especially when it comes to money. :) I keep saying that if I ever

get tired of game development and freelance art, I'm going back to

school to become an accountant.

And um, yes, I pretty much know where every penny I have is going--as

well as when I can retire, how much house I can afford on a single

income (and when I can buy it), and how many years having a kid will

push off my retirement. LOL.

still, it's obvious to me that you probably know more about your cash

flow situation than a lot of companies do........

You are an enigma!...........

Best,

Diane

Please don't take this the wrong way Kay, but if you have

money for McD's then I can't see how you can't have money for

protein powder.

Here is Australia you can buy protein powder (whey) from the

health store for around $5.00-10.00. Not sure how much it

would be in the USA, but I'm thinking it would be cheaper.

I mix cottage cheese with yoghurt all the time. I also add it to

a jacket potato/mashed potato or pumpkin and it tastes just like

sour cream.

I use to 'think' that I hated it but it was more the look of it. If

you can get past the lumps then it really does not taste too bad.

Cottage cheese is going to be my savour I think.

I have not been a member of this group very long at all, but I

can tell that the people here genuinely want to help each other

(me included).

Unfortunatly nobody can help you unless you are prepared to

help yourself.

Here is a quote which I just love......

THE ONLY PLACE WHERE SUCCESS COMES BEFORE WORK IS

IN THE DICTIONARY!

C'mon Kay! I know that you have it within yourself to do this

challenge successfully!

I think it's hard for a lot of people here in Florida b/c of Hurricaine

Charley. Most people still do not have power, and perishable items are

unthinkable right now. A lot of people are living on canned tuna, bread,

crackers,

bottled water, beer...and anything nonperishable.

" Personally, I like that smug sense of

> moral superiority I get when I see other people engaging in

unhealthy

> eating or doing lame things at the gym. That probably makes me a

bad

> person, but it also helps keep me on track. ;-) "

Ok, I'm a little late on this one (internet out yesterday) but I

totally agree with you Seattle Lady! I thought I was the only one

who felt great walking out of the grocery store after standing in

line behind a woman with boxes of Fruit Loops, some Fried chicken,

donuts, chips, cookies, oh...and non-fat milk!

But the best day was when there was a guy with 2 12 packs of beer,

one box of fried chicken and one bag of potato chips....was it for a

party...or just for his dinner? LOL

Is that sarcasm or a question?

How do you afford to eat out every day if you are on a tight budget???
