Guest guest
Femme This is from an old formulary, that has nothing newer than about 1959. ; I'm so grateful to you for posting the formula. The '89 redesigned Femme has cumin, a note I can live without & it is just not 'sex personified'. My perfume books are packed but fortunately I live next to a big university library so I think my next step is to read Steffen Arctander on natural & chemical perfumes. There is also a book by lene Delbourg-Delphis " Le sillage des elegantes: un siecle d'histoire des parfums. " which looks very worthwhile & of course the invaluable articles in the files section. And Anya, thank you for the blogs & this wonderful list! Rory
Guest guest
From: Maior Hi; I have been reading the old posts & wonder if anyone has the formula for the original 1944 " Femme " by E.Rouditska. This was an incredible perfume & I hated when they updated it in '89. How I would love to remake this wonderful chypre with natural scents. Rory Hi Rory. I have been trying to send you the ingredients of Femme, as a Attachment, I do not know if I have succeeded or not,! As I keept getting a message saying it had not gone, but then I looked in my sent items it appears to have gone 3 times!! Apoliges if you recived it 4 times. Let me know if you did not & I'll have another bash. Cheers Gill.

Guest guest
Edited to corect top posting.... > Hi; > I have been reading the old posts & wonder if anyone has the formula > for the original 1944 " Femme " by E.Rouditska. How I would love to > remake this wonderful chypre with natural scents. > Rory > The perfume can be closely matched by using aroma chemicals and essential oils, not by just using plant oils. If one is comfortable using aroma chemicals in the perfume, then it could be accomplished. Being that the formula is not published, one should have an idea of the odor print. Perfumes are very subjective, as I make custom perfumes tailored to customers descriptions. Recently, I made a chanel type perfume. A customer wanted a aldehyic perfume with a hint of Gardenia. I can help, but I need your personal description of the odor print. To the perfumery group: Chypre is a combination of citrus notes, leather notes ( ambroxan, castoreoum), powdery notes (clash between fresh accords and sweet accords - green notes with woody notes), and Oakmoss accords. The heart notes can be jasmine, iris, rose - one or a combination of one or more than one.
