Guest guest
This was a really good article. I was surprised that brown rice was on the " last resort " side. I also noticed that Kashi cereal was on the good side. , I saw that you eat this cereal too. Before I started BFL, I ate Kashi for breakfast and lunch. Isn't a serving of cereal with milk too many carbs for a meal? I will add it if I can, just seems kinda high in carbs. Guest guest
I frequently eat the Kashi GoLean Crunch for breakfast with milk but I add approximately a cup of eggbeaters. This equals out the protein and the carbs exactly (31g of both). It is also one of the most filling and satisfying breakfasts I eat. M. <ctheilac@...> wrote: This was a really good article. Guest guest
Cereal with milk is going to be too many calories and carbs if you're going for maximum fat loss. I'm generally not trying to lose any weight. Some people do eat Kashi as part of their fat loss plan but you have to keep the portion small and always add another protein source to the meal (like a shake). Another option if you're dying for cereal is to mix a little bit (1/4 cup) of something like Kashi GoLean Crunch with cottage cheese and berries and sweeten it with Splenda. That's a lot more protein and a lot fewer calories than having the cereal in a big bowl with milk. Re:I'm an extreme Endomorph/low-glycemic carbs This was a really good article. Guest guest
Ok. Thanks. I love that cereal. -Kay __________________________________________________________________________ Yes, as long as it isn't the sugar coated kind and you keep to the portion size per BFL guidelines. If you want to sweeten it use Splenda or some other artificial sweetener. Stasia

Guest guest
Sometimes I'll have a cup of Kashi Crunch with a serving of Dannon Carb Control yogurt. It comes out to 250 calories with 39 g carb, 14 g protein, 6 g fat and 8 g fiber. Is this okay or am I fooling myself (yes, it's yummy). My meals are usually more like 20-25 grams proten and carbs. 39 is pretty high for me for a serving. Colleen
