It's inconvenient but I'm willing to bet the rules will relax just like certain airline rules did. This is one case where the big companies can be a help. It was documented after 9/11 that certain rules were relaxed because big companies complained about the inconvenience. I suspect the same thing will happen here. Until then, it is a major pain. I wonder if they're refusing lotion too. I kept hearing that they were rejecting liquid and gels, but never heard anything about where lotion fell in the guidelines. This is very inconvenient timing for me. I had just gotten my shopping cart set up for my color therapy products and room sprays. I hate shipping UPS -- it's very expensive for slower delivery time. I'll have to hunt down an actual FedEx operated shipping location. Places close to me that ship FedEx are subcontractors so they add on fees that nearly double the price but my volume is still too small to arrange for pick ups. This could seriously effect our businesses. I've never used FedEx or UPS, but I guess I'll have to start, and they're much more expensive. Oil or alcohol, they're refusing liquids. What do y'all say about this? Anya ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hi Anya, All, I just got off the phone with Fed Ex (with a Cust. Svc agent that was actually quite thorough in his information search) and they are not having any restrictions in regards to shipping liquids OR shipping perfumes. Fed Ex, having their own air fleet, isn't subject to same restrictions that the Post Office may be since the USPS cargo is shipped in the bellies of commercial flights. Now on to calling the Post Office and UPS to get their latest info ... *Smile* Chris http://www.alittleolfactory.com

That's great news. Looks like I'll get a FedEx account! Seems it will be a lot more expensive, though, especially for the little samples, which are quite affordable via USPS. Or whatever the stage beyond paranoia is called. Insanity? Terror? The anticipated problem on flights is that individually innocuous liquids could be mixed, in flight, by two or more individuals, and then ignited with an appropritate electronic device. But how this scenario could possibly play out inside a USPS package is something I cannot even imagine. Nano-terrorists perhaps? According to the folks at the national number and Sugar Land Post Master, who contacted several other colleagues and folks above his head to make sure his information is accurate .. there are no new shipping restrictions in place with the USPS. They did however say, that you might have had a problem cause it was perfume and they do have restriction on sending alcohol based perfumes, but that is nothing new. I'm not calling UPS cause I never ship with their overpriced selves anyway *Smile* Chris Natural Awapuhi Extract, Unrefined Rose Hip Seed Oil Traditional Pressed Certified Organic Virgin Coconut Oil Pre-Buy Special - TWO WEEKS ONLY! http://www.alittleolfactory.com/prebuys.htm

It may be on a PO-by-PO basis, as we have heard report of in the past. They all have a different way of interpreting the rules. Miami is a pretty major shipping point, and I'm just wondering if they got the shut-down news and it hasn't filtered to Sugarland yet. They were very adamant here, and they are my buddies, been in that PO 14 years. Did you ask about EOs? For instance, Will of Eden Botanicals and several others ship via USPS. > Anya http://anyasgarden.com/perfumes.htm Parfums Natural http://artisannaturalperfumers.com The Artisan Natural Perfumers Guild http://.com The Premier Natural Perfume Site Gateway
