I don't have a referral; however you go to: http://www.moldwarriors.com/PDFs/NTordersheet.pdf for a list of tests Dr. Shoemaker uses along with the correct lab codes. This might help your physician if you cannot locate another one. Rosie >
Guest guest
, My son's blood was drawn at a local hospital in a tiny town in Colorado and shipped to the Quest lab in Baltimore. I know the lab here called Quest to get the correct codes before shipping but we were able to do it locally...and the hospital lab isn't Quest and is very small (one-story hospital and about 4,000 residents). So I'm sure it can be done if you get the lab manager on the case and deal directly with that person. Also, we did the swab for the nasal culture ourselves and mailed it to Dr. Shoemaker's office. Hope that helps, [] Re: Dr. Shoemaker Protol Blood Tests in the North East --- In , " nippernine09 " <nipper_nine@...> wrote:> > Any one have a source (lab, hospital or doctor) in the North East > (besides Dr. Shoemaker...) that can complete all of the Shoemaker > protocol blood work and nasal swab tests?> > I just came back from my doctor (Tarrytown, NY) who said that he > arranged with a Quest lab down the hall from him to at least complete > all of the Quest lab work. Guest guest
The Qwest tests I had were done by Qwest on Demand, which may be a separate thing. Perhaps 'on Demand' part does some tests at doctors request that they don't routinely do. Don't know but you could check that out. My MSH test and others were done by Lab Corp of America: BN LabCorp Burlington, NC. > > Any one have a source (lab, hospital or doctor) in the North East > (besides Dr. Shoemaker...) that can complete all of the Shoemaker > protocol blood work and nasal swab tests? > > I just came back from my doctor (Tarrytown, NY) who said that he > arranged with a Quest lab down the hall from him to at least complete > all of the Quest lab work. Guest guest
Thanks Rosie - Couldn't remember where I got those. Cronicneurotoxins.com has different ones, and when I was attempting to fax something to one of the labs, I figured out that I was really confused myself! Thanks again for the URL...hopefully I can find something local. > Hi : I'm sorry this happened. > I don't have a referral; however you go to: > http://www.moldwarriors.com/PDFs/NTordersheet.pdf > for a list of tests Dr. Shoemaker uses along with the correct lab > codes. Guest guest
The Quest codes vary from area to area. If you call the Baltimore office at 800 722-7393 they can be helpful. I spoke with someone before her at their national number who had no idea which tests I meant, but when I called Baltimore, everything added up. (I spoke with a woman at that number named who clearly deserves a medal for helping me sort out my confusion.) I don't know why they (Quest) have not standardized the codes, its VERY confusing.
