Guest guest
Ditto what Dr. Sweeney said, and DIET! Lose the dairy, sugar, & assorted other sensitivities. I had someone turn up sensitive to apples and sunflower seeds, of all things. If the patient comes in with an acute infection I will treat that (I don't usually use UNDA numbers for the acute) as opposed to the GI. Then the next visit I address the underlying issue - inefficient emunctories, gi imbalance etc. It seems that most people that come in with a sinus infection have a history of previous sinus infections - so then it's clear that the underlying emunctories/gi/miasm need to be addressed. If the patient is somebody who has a chronic sinusitis that never really seems to go away though it might wax and wane, I will jump right in with treating the underlying stuff. So far I've had success treating the GI first. But I also have the person doing nasal lavage daily, sometimes with probiotic added to the saline solution and alternating hot/cold to the sinuses. And don't forget about treating the miasm ultimately.Kathy Sweeney, N.D.Juneau, AlaskaFamily Practice>From: Lang >Reply- >" " >Subject: Q: General question re: Sinus'>Date: Fri, 06 Jan 2006 10:00:19 -0500>>>>>>Hello all,>>I was reading about sinus infection in my drainage packet about>>sinusitis- acute and chronic.
