Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been on this list for quite a while, but this is my first post. Since all of you have provided a wealth of knowledge to the group, I was wondering if any of you may be able to provide some information on a perfume I'm researching. International Flavors and Fragrances helped to create a fragrance back in 1990 called " Abishag " . It was a perfume inspired by flowers mentioned in the Bible, and was created for an exhibit called " Cosmetics of Ancient Times " for the Israeli Museum. Someone I know purchased this fragrance at an estate sale and has not been able to find it since. I have found very little information online about it, although an article hosted on High Beam seems like it may have some information, but I don't have a subscription to read the full article (http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1:8560163/New+fragrance+launch+in+Israe l~R~+(Abishag).html?refid=ency_botnm). The person I know who purchased it has lost the tag that came with the perfume, which described its history and fragrance notes. She says she remembers the tag mentioning something about the perfume being created from a recipe found in an ancient tomb. Has anyone here heard of this perfume? If so, any information you could provide would be appreciated. I've heard it compared to Estee Lauder's " Private Collection " perfume....and that perfume was possibly inspired by Abishag. If you are aquainted with this fragrance and can provide a description of it for me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Guest guest
Hi From what I have found on the internet: http://boisdejasmin.typepad.com/_/2005/11/american_fragra.html it seems that Ayala, from this group, knows this perfume.
