Guest guest
focal lobular hyperplasia - a benign, usually asymptomatic tumor of the liver, occurring chiefly in women. It is a firm mass containing numerous small bile ducts and usually lined by Kupffer cells, which are normal cells associated with the liver. That's the medicalese definition. It just means you have a lump in your liver. Most of the time they're harmless, just bile ducts and fibers that have gotten a bit tangled and out of control. They'll likely want to do a needle biopsy to make sure it's benign and then discuss with you whether you want/need it removed. Nothing to panic over. Guest guest
He told me it was benign. Which is good... but he is still sending me to a surgeon to make sure. The only thing I know is that there is a possibility of bleeding. I appreciate your help.
Guest guest
Not sure what it is, but good luck! We'll have to add you to our prayer lists! : ) OT//focal lobular hyperplasia of the liver? Anyone know what this is and how dangerous it is? I was just diagnosed and heading to a surgeon and I am having a hard time even figuring out what it is!
