If so, any leftovers would work. Or a thermos that keeps food hot might work. If not: Protein Shakes (in cooler) Chicken breast with fruit CC with fruit Hard boiled eggs/egg whites with fruit CC with veggies and WW tortillas made into chips (cut and bake at 250 for about 25 minutes) Colleen

Guest guest
Good for your hubby! My husband's rude Aunt Sylvia told us that I was looking nice and thin, but he looked bigger in the stomach. Most of the time she cracks me up, like when she says my hair is too dark and she doesn't like my hair when I wear it curly, etc...but she really hurt his feelings...Why do SOME older folks think it's okay to be so mean? (even if it is the truth) Anyhoo, my husband has been doing BFL with me for the last few weeks and every sunday I stock up on my groceries and I make all of his lunches for the week, and I split everything into baggies for each portion. Hardboiled eggs, grapes, blueberries, babycarrots, celery, grilled chicken breast tunafish in the vacuum sealed pouches are great too. I also organize the refrigerator into proteins, veggies, and fruits, so it's easy for him to grab his meals for the day in the morning. We figure he eats about 3 of his meals throughout his workday, so we buy a LOT of Myoplex ready-to-drink shakes, which we LOVE. It's expensive, but VERY convenient on the go. I also make him sandwiches out of pocket bread, in addition to whole wheat bread. He really loves hardboiled eggs too. There are lots of combinations you can make, it doesn't always have to be sandwiches. Sometimes he'll eat hardboiled eggs with some fruit, or just some meatslices or grilled chicken breast with a salad and fruit or just the chicken by itself with a carb. Here's what a typical day looks like for him and he is either in the car driving to clients houses, on the phone, or having a meeting and he manages to get in 2 or 3 good meals during his work day. Meal #1: Before he goes to work he has a Myoplex shake or 4 egg whites and one whole egg scrambled with whole wheat toast and/or grapes. Meal #2: Hardboiled eggs and an apple or grapes Meal #3: Myoplex Shake or a sandwich made with 100% whole wheat bread Meal #4: Myoplex Shake or Tunafish with an apple or grapes Meal #5: Usually home by this time and we have a typical meal of grilled chicken or fish and veggies and brown rice. Meal #6: Cottage Cheese with blueberries. To mix it up, you can use different types of bread for sandwiches. I love 100% whole wheat tortillas and pocket bread. But sometimes he'll eat a sandwich without the bread so he can have more carb varieties. He physically doesn't have time to even pop anything in the microwave...if it isn't something he can grab from the fridge he keeps by his desk, he doesn't eat. If your husband can put stuff in the microwave, Lean Cuisine makes some really good meals that I love. Hope this helps! -Ruth
Guest guest
Thanks much! He sometimes has access to a microwave, sometimes not, so we have to be careful (couple of times he was stuck with no lunch, wh ich of course led to a mcdonalds attack. I didn't think of the tuna in a pouch, that would work great. And I did just go get him some fo the ready to drink myoplex, I KNOW he won't mix up a shake but he will drink those. And ours was an older relative as well (and not an in-shape one either!!). DH laughed it off but it really did hurt his feelings. And he is NOT in any way overweight, just got the beginning of a belly. But, if it motivates him to work with me, it will be water under the bridge (and this is rude Uncle Tom, who sometimes gets so bad, I just want to die!) And Ruth, I have been reading your posts and congratulations on your awesome progress. I started the challenge when you did and then hit some bumps in the road. STarting again officically on Monday!
