Akron,OH

Beacon Journal staff report

Initial air tests conducted at NBD International in Ravenna show no

problems with mold, despite employee allegations to the contrary.

The company closed its Romito Street facility March 6 after complaints

made by employees about suspected mold problems. NBD does restoration

and replacement work on documents and other items damaged by floods

and water.

The company currently is working on items damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

NBD is awaiting final lab results on tests conducted by Armour Applied

Science in Broadview Heights.

Armour, owner of the testing company, complimented NBD on its

procedures for handling materials.

``They handle it in a very rigorous and safe manner,'' Armour said.

``I was very impressed.''

Read more on NBD in Tuesday's Beacon Journal.
