Here's a ton of info on flax oil:

(scroll down to get to the flax stuff)

http://barleans.com/literature/index.html

Basically, it helps with fat loss, cuts cravings, improves cholesterol levels,

and makes your skin soft and your hair shiny.

There's also a good flax oil discussion in the club's Files section. It's the

FlaxOil.doc about 5-6 things from the top.

why take flax oil?

At the risk of sounding incredibly ignorant, what is the purpose of

the flax oil? I never took it in previous challenges, but just bought

it to try this time, thinking I would use it in a salad. But, what

are the benefits?

The thing about 'good fats' either plant or fish types is that they

kind of trick the body into releasing its stored fat. When you are

on a 'lowfat' way of eating (and BFL at 20% fat is considered lowfat)

you will find that the body might think you are setting it up for

the next famine and it will hold onto every pocket of stored fat it

can. But when you feed it 'good fats'(dietary fats)it confuses this

little fat switch in our metabolism and it stays burning off stored

bodyfat without shitting it off. Good fats get sucked up in the

human body quite like a dried sponge. You need them for energy and

for the health benefits the other posts mentioned too.

I take DHA (essential fatty acids from fish oil) 550 mg softgels per

day. What is you opinions on if that is considered enough for

TRICKING the body to release fat??
