Guest guest
Hi Ananda, > Hello everyone~ > > I don't post often but very much appreciate the informative wonderful > conversations here. Same here. :-P > My question is about real wintergreen oil. (Gaultheria procumbens) Can > anyone clarify this for me? I am under the impression that you really > can't get it, and if you can it's extremely dangerous. Its not IMPOSSIBLE to get .. but its not logical .. nor economic .. nor would it matter if it was " real " or synthetic because the human bod does not handle it well in either case .. which, answers your second question about the danger. > I have an aquaintence who claims she is getting a good price on it but > I am skeptical! And .. you are wise. ;-) > Are the 'wintergreen oils' being sold just the Salacylic acid - Yep .. matter of fact. > or adulterated - or the real deal? Not adulterated .. in order for something to be adulterated it has to have a less than equal value substance added to it .. manipulation is a different matter. But since Wintergreen is almost all Methyl salicylate to begin with there's little room to add anything .. nor is there any reason to add anything. > How dangerous is it? ok - I think you get my drift Pretty darned dangerous .. I'm gonna send a few posts I have written to many lists before .. they are MY posts .. no list can claim them. ;-) What I send might be seen as overload .. that's fine with me if it gets folks attention. > TIA for any help on this... Welcome fer'shur. Y'all have a good one. > Ananda And keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
